The Alpha is a location indicator for executives and specialists locations of the week from the Swiss publishing group Tamedia is issued (Zurich).

Form, content and group integration

Alpha is printed on salmon colored paper. It appears as a supplement to the Saturday edition of the Tages-Anzeiger and the SonntagsZeitung . Alpha mainly brings executive job advertisements from business and administration. There is also a small editorial section. Professionals, e.g. B. Business consultants, introduce newer aspects of human resources and corporate management .

Alpha is affiliated with the Tages-Anzeiger publishing house together with the job advertisement . The online counterpart alpha.ch is assigned to JobCloud AG together with jobwinner.ch .

In 2016 Alpha had a circulation of 325,985 copies and a reach of 946,000 readers ( WEMF , MACH-Basic 2016-2, calculation method: Tages-Anzeiger reader plus Sunday newspaper reader minus double reader). The alpha.ch online version has an average of 1,354,000 unique clients per month.

history

On March 8, 1997, Alpha , the largest executive vacancy notice in Switzerland , appeared for the first time . In contrast to all other supplements in the Tages-Anzeiger ( Züritipp , Das Magazin etc.), Alpha is not inspired by a corresponding supplement from the New York Times . It is a self-creation.

Alpha has also been available online since June 2006 .

The most important competitor is the NZZ executive of the NZZ group.
