The Alpine Club of Pakistan ( ACP ) ( German  Alpine Association of Pakistan ) is a non-governmental sports organization promoting mountaineering , sport climbing and other mountain- related adventure activities in Pakistan .

In addition, the club serves as the national sports association for mountaineering and sport climbing in Pakistan.

history

The club was founded in 1974 and is headquartered in the Jinnah Sports Stadium in Islamabad , Pakistan . Since 1977 the club has trained a large number of its members, Pakistani Army , locals, liaisons and ladies in climbing and ice climbing, mountaineering and other activities related to mountain tourism at its training institute in Nilt in Gilgit-Baltistan .
