ALSO Holding is the third largest ICT distribution company in Europe. ALSO has goods from over 660 manufacturers of hardware, software and IT services listed and a customer base of over 110,000 buyers.

In 2019, sales of around 10.7 billion euros were achieved. The company operates in 23 European countries.

The company was founded in 1984 and is since 1986 on the Swiss Stock Exchange SIX Swiss listed . Since 1988 it has been majority owned by Schindler Holding . In January 2000, ALSO Holding took over the IT business of the Credit Suisse Group . The German Actebis and the Swiss ALSO Holding merged their activities on February 9, 2011. ALSO Holding was renamed ALSO-Actebis Holding. Since March 14, 2013, the Switzerland-based ALSO-Actebis Holding has been operating again as ALSO Holding. The Special Distribution Holding, a Droege Holding company based in Düsseldorf (Germany), has a majority stake.

The German subsidiary of the group is ALSO Deutschland GmbH, based in Soest .
