Alston Wise
Joseph Alston Wise (born October 29, 1904 in Winnipeg , Manitoba , † September 23, 1984 in Vancouver , British Columbia ) was a Canadian ice hockey player . At the Olympic Winter Games in 1932 , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.
Career
Alston Wise began his career as a hockey player at the University of Manitoba , for which he was active from 1921 to 1923. He later joined the Winnipeg Hockey Club. In the 1930/31 season he won the Allan Cup , the Canadian amateur championship, with the Winnipeg Hockey Club . At the 1932 Winter Games, he represented Canada with the Winnipeg Hockey Club. In 2004 he was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.
International
For Canada Wise took part in the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , where he won the gold medal with his team.
