Old village school Löhsten

The old village school is a monument in the Löhsten district of the district town of Herzberg (Elster) in the southern Brandenburg district of Elbe-Elster .

It stands opposite the Löhsten village church . The building ensemble is listed in the local monument register under registration number 09135559.

The former school is dated to the year 1852. It is a single-storey, gable brick building with a gable roof . There is a bat dormer on the roof of the building, the base was made of field stone. In the house there is, among other things, the former teacher's apartment and a former large classroom. The associated farm building is also under monument protection. The exposed brick building, equipped with a laundry room, student toilets and small animal barn, was built in 1862.
