Altella ausseri is a spider from the family of curly spiders (Dictynidae). It is common in parts of Central Europe. The species was named after Anton Ausserer , pioneer of arachnological research.

features

The body length of A. beseri is 1.2 to 1.4 millimeters. The females are usually larger than the males. Prosoma length 0.62-0.56 millimeters, prosoma width 0.46-0.48 millimeters. General characteristics (coloration, drawing, eyes) like Altella lucida . The assignment to the genus Altella occurs through the conspicuous reinforcement of the 3rd tibia ventrally with a powerful "scimitar-spur" or with a weaker bristle.

Epigyne pits indistinct, sharply delimited in front inside, groin covered with an insertion opening. Receptacula translucent, directed aborad / laterad and not converging as in A. lucida mediad. Dorsal receptacula with pore craters and a glandular pore.

Locations

In South Tyrol near Kaltern at 420 m and at Guntschnaberg at 470 m. Presumed distribution of the species in Xenotherm habitats in the southern Alps, perhaps also in the area of ​​the Italian peninsula.
