The Altes Brauhaus restaurant is a listed building in the town of Weißenfels in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the building is listed as a monument under registration number 094 15374 .

The building at Fischgasse 22 in Weißenfels is a restaurant .

History of the building

It is believed that the building was once built in the baroque style . It was not until 1920 that it was converted into a restaurant. It received its current design of the basement. The windows and the portal cannot be assigned to a specific era. In the building there is an oil painting from 1898, which shows the interior of the neighboring building's restaurant, which was demolished in 1969.

History of the restaurant

In the neighboring building, demolished in 1969, there was already a restaurant before 1920, the inn of the brewery. The first name of this restaurant was Zum Spucknapf and later Zum blanken Knopf (also called Geputzter Knopp ). Only after the building was rebuilt in 1920 did the restaurant move into the current building.
