Old town hall Erwitte
The old town hall is a listed secular building on Markt 15 in Erwitte in the Soest district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The former courthouse of the Electorate of Cologne is a single-storey cube-shaped building over a high rubble stone base . It is accessed via an outside staircase and covered with a hipped roof. A coat of arms with the designation 1716 is located above the gable portal on the market side. The building was restored in 1983 and 2003. The interior consists of a hall with side rooms and a fireplace. Opposite the entrance, in a wall niche, stands the stone figure of Justitia . It is also marked 1716.
