location
Althütte is located in the Bavarian Forest about one kilometer west of Frauenau .
history
The first mention of a glassworks by name in Frauenau can be found in a document dated December 13, 1492. The hut was initially on the Kleiner Regen and was mostly in the hands of the Frisch family of smelters in the 16th century. It was acquired by Paulus Poschinger on March 18, 1605 and, according to the purchase contract, was "located in Unserer Lieben Frauen Au". Wilhelm Poschinger then ran it "on the Zell" near the current district of Althütte, before Franz Poschinger shut it down around 1666.
In 1808, the place Althütte with five houses in the house and rustic tax cadastre is recorded as belonging to the Lindberg tax district . Intended in 1813 as part of a municipality of Flanitz , Althütte then appears in 1821 as part of the municipality of Unterfrauenau of the Regen district court, later as part of the current municipality of Frauenau.
