The house at Altstadtstraße 22 in Eppingen , a town in the Heilbronn district in northern Baden-Württemberg , is a half-timbered house in Kraichgau that was built at the end of the 16th century . The building on Altstadtstraße is protected as a cultural monument.

Building description

The house is also called the dolphin house because of its colored carving (on the left corner post of the upper half-timbered floor) with the depiction of dolphins . Two dolphins are shown under crossed keys, which are highlighted in color and embrace a red heart.

The half-timbered house of the Renaissance has two residential floors and three attic floors. It looks slim and dainty, its hallmarks are the Franconian man and short ankle struts. The second floor is flush with the first and the lower attic with visible beam heads protrudes. The second and third lofts are less protruding.
