Alun Bollinger

Alun Bollinger MNZM (* 1948 ) is a New Zealand cameraman who has worked on several films by Peter Jackson and many other films from New Zealand. He was also responsible for the camera and electrics, including the third film in Jackson's trilogy The Lord of the Rings . He began in 1966 as a trainee cameraman with the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation (NZBS).

In 2005 he received the New Zealand Order of Merit on the occasion of the British Queen's birthday .

The documentary Barefoot Cinema: The Art and Life of Cinematographer Alun Bollinger , released in 2008, deals with the life and work of Bollinger. He lives with his wife Helen at Blacks Point near Reefton on the West Coast of New Zealand.
