Although they are personable from the start, it takes a while before they find each other. At first, Holly's son is against his mother's relationship. Susan wants to win Doug back after his positive change and invites him to dinner. But she slept with a friend of Doug's. Then the relationship with Holly is destroyed.

When Pierre the duck flies again, Doug regains Holly.

Reviews

Love Birds received mixed reviews on TV3's release of Kate Rodger , in which she said the story felt "a bit of a chore, as did the humor," giving it two and a half stars out of five. Russell Baillie of the New Zealand Herald , however, praised the film with 4 out of 5 points and called it a "lovably funny, if sugar-coated romantic comedy". Graeme Tuckett of the Dominion Post also gave the film a 4 out of 5, saying, "Love Birds does what it does well. There's Queen on the soundtrack, love in the air and probably a smile on your face at the credits. "

Despite the mixed reviews of the film, Rhys Darby received an overwhelmingly positive response from critics quoted as follows: “Rhys Darby is stealing the show again, but in a very different role than we are used to. He plays the relatively straight role of a typical Kiwi guy, but with charm and sympathy that cannot be hidden on the screen. "And" He is an easy-going, credible and extremely convincing actor - and on this basis alone he is for even greater ones Determined things. "

Cinema describes the film as a sippy cup that has become film.

Kino.de thinks that it is a cute romantic comedy from New Zealand about the miraculous rehabilitation of a nice good-for-nothing.
