Club history

Always Ready was founded on April 13, 1933. The team took part in the championship of La Paz, which was held from 1950 under semi-professional conditions by the La Paz Football Association (LPFA). Although it was not officially the Bolivian championship, the champions could be seen as the strongest team in Bolivia. After seventh place in the premiere year, Always Ready, or CAR for short, secured the title in 1951. In the following two years the team was runner-up in each case.

From 1954 teams from Cochabamba and Oruro also took part in the championship now called Torneo Integrado . In the expanded competition, the team could not prevail and was relegated. Always Ready was not promoted again until 1956, when the team secured the title for the second and so far last time in the club's history.

From August to November 1961 Always Ready was the first Bolivian team to travel to Europe.

In 1961, 1963 and 1967 CAR finished second in the table. The runner-up in 1967 qualified the club to participate in the 1968 Copa Libertadores . In Group B, the team was bottom of the table with one point. In the same year Always Ready won the city championship of La Paz, nationwide it was only fifth.

In 1977 Always Ready qualified for the new professional national league, but played only a minor role there and had to relegate in 1981. The return came in 1987, in 1991 Always Ready rose again and has not been able to rise again since then. Since 2018 CAR has been playing again in the highest Bolivian league, the Profesional division.
