Aly Jaerling
Alphonse "Aly" Jaerling (born January 30, 1948 in Esch an der Alzette ) is a Luxembourg trade unionist and politician.
Municipal council
From October 10, 1993 to December 31, 1999 and from June 17, 2000 to October 9, 2011, he was represented in the local council in Esch an der Alzette.
State politics
On June 13, 1999, Jaerling was elected to the Chambre des Députés for the first time , where he represented the South District for the Alternative Democratic Reform Party . In the chamber election on June 13, 2004 he was re-elected.
As a result of internal party disputes and allegations of right-wing extremism against the ADR, Aly Jaerling declared his resignation on May 1, 2006. When Jaerling resigned, his former party lost its parliamentary group status.
Initially as an independent in parliament, he later founded the " Biergerlëscht " ( German "Bürgerliste" ), with which he ran in the parliamentary elections on June 7, 2009 in the electoral districts of North and South . He put the northern list in the hands of his friend Jean Ersfeld , former FPL party leader . The list achieved 0.81% of all valid votes and thus failed to make it into parliament, so that Jaerling left parliament. The Biergerlëscht did not run for the 2013 chamber election .
Aly Jaerling was the social secretary of the Luxembourg Neutral Union . As a passionate bowler, he is a member of the "Keeleklub Viischt am Kanal" ( German "Kegelklub Feucht im Kanal" ).
Investigations
In June 2011 Jaerling was the court sentenced to an 18-month prison term and a fine after he in 2008 using fake invoices, 9,500 € by the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies of the Chambre Députés embezzled.
Between 2010 and 2012 he is said to have stolen a large sum of money again in connection with a crime involving forgery of bank documents. On February 1, 2018 Jaerling became final to a prison term on probation sentenced and fined. With Jaerling's resignation from the chairmanship of the national bowling association FLQ in October 2012, speculations about embezzlement and theft of club funds became public again.
