Alyssa Ashley Reid (born March 15, 1993 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian singer-songwriter .

Career

Reid released with the support of rapper P. Reign in November 2010 the single Alone Again , which is based on the song Alone by the group Heart from 1987. The recording reached # 4 on the Canadian Hot 100 in April 2011 , where it was awarded gold .

The US industry magazine Billboard named her number one among Canadian emerging artists in February 2011 . In the same year she was nominated for the MuchMusic Video Award in the category Pop Video of the Year.

In 2013 she released the new singles Running Guns and Satisfaction Guaranteed as heralds of the new album. The latter reached number 25 on the Canadian charts and a gold record. Her second album Time Bomb was released in February 2014.
