Alyzeus
Alyzeus ( Greek Ἀλυζεύς ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
According to fragments of the Alkmaionis and Ephoros handed down by Strabo and Stephanos of Byzantium , Alyzeus is the eponymous hero of the Akarnan city of Alyzeia , son of the Akarnan king Ikarios and brother of Penelope and Leukadios . After the death of his father, he and his brother rule Akarnania. According to another tradition in Strabo, he is the son of the Polycaste , the daughter of Lygaios .
