history
The church history of the communities goes back in part to the Reformation . Altershausen, Burghaslach, Kleinweisach, Pretzdorf in condominium with v. Rieter and Ziegenbach were in the county of Castell and became Protestant around 1546. The market town of Einersheim and the places Hellmitzheim and Possenheim belonged to the county of Limpurg-Speckfeld . Protestant teaching was introduced there between 1540 and 1555. Oberlaimbach was a condominium between Castell and Limpurg-Speckfeld. Dornheim, Herrnsheim and Hüttenheim became Protestant around 1528 under the rule of the Seinsheimer . The Protestant county of Schwarzenberg fell to the Catholic line in 1588 through extinction. In the Counter Reformation in March 1627, the parish became Catholic again. Most of the population remained Protestant. Dornheim was also cared for by Hellmitzheim. A Simultaneum was introduced in the Schwarzenberg community of Bullenheim in 1664 . The market in Nordheim and Unterlaimbach were formerly Seinsheim and Schwarzenberg places, which remained Protestant after the Reformation in 1528. Krassolzheim was ruled jointly by Seinsheim (2/3) and the Schenken zu Limpurg (1/3) and was evangelical around 1530. In Ezelheim, Baron von Seckendorff-Aberdar introduced the Reformation around 1530. Ippesheim became Protestant around 1530 under the von Lichtenstein family . The Lords of Vestenberg introduced the Reformation in Kirchrimbach . In Obersteinbach and Taschendorf, the Lords of Eyb were the rulers during the Reformation . Taschendorf became Protestant around 1550. In Nenzenheim around 1535, the evangelical teaching found its way into the von Hutten family . Mönchsondheim was disputed between the sovereign, the bishopric of Würzburg and the high judge, the Count of Limpurg-Speckfeld. In 1553 the Protestant doctrine prevailed. It was not until the peace of the Augsburg religion that the sovereign was awarded the ius reformandi . What rights one had to have in order to be considered a sovereign was not exactly outlined, however. In the Peace of Westphalia it was declared that neither the mere high jurisdiction nor the patronage alone established the right of Reformation. So a decision was made in each individual case. The high judiciary was important for the development of the Protestant church system insofar as the condemnation under heretic law, as happened to Luther, could result in high judicial measures or else remain unpunished. Schornweisach belonged to the Margraviate of Brandenburg-Bayreuth and became Protestant in 1528. Stierhöfstetten was in the territory of the Markgraftum Brandenburg-Ansbach . The Reformation was introduced there around 1530.
