The Evangelical Lutheran deanery in Uffenheim is one of the 19 deaneries in the Ansbach-Würzburg church district . Acting dean is Karl-Uwe Rasp.
history
Many parishes in the deanery district can look back on a long evangelical tradition since the Reformation . Most of the communities belonged to the Brandenburg-Ansbach Margraviate . The Reformation was introduced in the Principality of Ansbach in 1528. Aub belonged to the Hochstift Würzburg and Gelchsheim to the Teutonic Order . Both places remained Catholic with the exception of the Swedish period. In Geißlingen , Gollachostheim , Gülchsheim , Hemmersheim , Pfahlenheim , Lipprichhausen and Rodheim the sovereignty was between the tithe Würzburg (½), v. Baldersheim (¼), v. Rosenberg (¼) and the patron Ansbach disputed. Ansbach was nevertheless able to push through the Reformation between the 1530s and 1550s. Protestant teaching was introduced in the county of Limpurg-Speckfeld between 1540 and 1555. Gollhofen also belonged to the dominion . Weigenheim and Herbolzheim (½ with Würzburg) were under the rule of the Seinsheimers and Schwarzenberg . The complicated rulership, the Counter-Reformation and the change of denomination through inheritance of the Catholic line of the Schwarzenbergs led to the common use of the church by the Protestant and Catholic communities in these places.
