Rudolzhofen is a district of the city of Uffenheim in the Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim . The place was independent until its incorporation on January 1, 1972. Rudolzhofen has 153 inhabitants (as of 2007) and covers an area of 479.3 hectares.

history

The personal name contained in the name Rudolzhofen will probably name the first farm owner of Rudolzhofen. The oldest tradition of the place name can be found in a part of the estate of the Benedictine monastery of St. Michael near Bamberg from the first half of the 12th century. Since the oldest documented tradition is Rudolfeshofen, this name can be assumed to be the original.

The first documented occurrence of a place usually only states that the place existed at the time the document was drawn up, but not how long it existed before. The presence of a town in an old document is a stroke of luck, but Rudolzhofen is not granted it.

So we can only assume that Rudolzhofen was founded around the year 600, at the latest at the beginning of the 7th century.

The Trinity Church, built by Johann David Steingruber in 1744 , was equipped with an organ by Johann Christoph Wiegleb .
