Langensteinach is a district of the town of Uffenheim in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Central Franconia .

location

The place is about six and a half kilometers southeast of Uffenheim an der Steinach . This flows in the local area from the south to the Selbach.

The district roads NEA 50 and  51 lead through Langensteinach . State road 2419 from Rothenburg ob der Tauber to Uffenheim is just to the east . It leads to junction 106 (Uffenheim / Langensteinach) of the A 7 motorway, which runs about 1300 m to the east .

history

The first documentary mention dates from 1306, when Abbot Heinrich von Heilsbronn received from Albert von Hohenlohe and his wife Adelheid by buying goods in Steinach (Langensteinach).

Langensteinach, with its district of Kleinharbach , was an independent municipality until it was incorporated on May 1, 1978.
