Oberickelsheim

Oberickelsheim is a municipality in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Middle Franconia . She is a member of the Uffenheim administrative community .

The community is halfway between Würzburg and Ansbach .

The municipality has three officially named municipal parts (the type of settlement is indicated in brackets ):

Neighboring communities are (clockwise from the north): Marktbreit , Martinsheim , Gollhofen , Hemmersheim and Ochsenfurt .

Between 1448 and 1791/1806 Oberickelsheim was one of the so-called Six Main Villages that were part of the Margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach.

On January 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality of Geißlingen was incorporated. Rodheim was added on January 1, 1976.

In the period from 1988 to 2018, the population increased from 691 to 704 by 13 residents or 1.9%.

The local elections in 2002 and 2008 resulted in the following distribution of seats in the local council:
