history

Between 1448 and 1791/1806 Oberickelsheim was one of the so-called Six Main Villages that were part of the Margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality of Geißlingen was incorporated. Rodheim was added on January 1, 1976.

Population development

In the period from 1988 to 2018, the population increased from 691 to 704 by 13 residents or 1.9%.
