Neighboring communities

Neighboring communities are (starting from the north clockwise): Markt Taschendorf , Münchsteinach , Diespeck , Neustadt an der Aisch , Langenfeld , Sugenheim and Scheinfeld .

Community structure

There are six officially named parts of the municipality (the type of settlement is given in brackets ):

history

The place was first mentioned in 1333/34 as "Butembach" (1421 pawtenpach , otherwise also Beuttenbach and Butenbach ). The place name is derived from the name of the water body of the same name, whose defining word is perhaps the personal name Budo. Its carrier could thus be seen as the founder of the settlement. It is more likely that the name of the brook goes back to biute ("booty", " fulling mill") as a brook with a fulling mill. The place was probably founded in the 10th century.

In the Urbar of Burgrave's Nuremberg the place is mentioned as "Pautenbach". At that time, a Marchart von Pautenbach had to pay 30 Heller interest annually to the burgraviate. Most of the properties were under other landlords ( Messrs Hohenlohe and Münchsteinach Monastery ). There was a St. George's Chapel in the village, which was looked after by the parish of Gutenstetten. On January 29, 1438 Baudenbach was raised to a parish. In 1554 the place had 8 whole farms, 9 feudal farms and 31 Selden (quarter farms ) .

During the Thirty Years' War , Baudenbach was set on fire in 1625 and completely deserted in 1645. In the middle of the 17th century, Baudenbach became a refuge for Austrian religious refugees, who found a new home there and contributed to the reconstruction after the war damage.

From December 10, 1700 to 1732, the Margrave Baudenbach, together with Gutenstetten, Münchsteinach and Schornweisach, pledged to the Würzburg prince-bishop. At the end of the 18th century there were 51 properties in Baudenbach. The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff Neustadt an der Aisch . The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Monastery Office Münchsteinach . All the properties were the Principality Bayreuth as landlord (steward Münchsteinach: 6 yards, 1 mill 15 goods 13 Sölden , 2/2 Sölden, 7 Häckersgütlein, 1 drip House , 2 houses, 1 Badstube; steward Birkenfeld : 1 inn 1 Widemgut ; Box and Jurisdiktionsamt Dachsbach : 1 Widemgut).

In 1810 Baudenbach came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict , the Baudenbach tax district was formed in 1811 , to which the places Ehe , Frankenfeld , Hambühl , Hanbach , Obermühle , Stübach and Untermühle belonged. In 1813 the rural community of Baudenbach was formed, to which Frankenfeld, Hanbach, Ober- and Untermühle belonged. With the second community edict (1818), the rural community was split into:

  • Rural community Baudenbach,
  • Rural community Frankenfeld with Ober- and Untermühle and
  • Hanbach rural community.

The rural community of Baudenbach was subordinate to the regional court Neustadt an der Aisch in administration and jurisdiction and the tax office Neustadt an der Aisch (renamed tax office Neustadt an der Aisch in 1920 ). From 1862, Baudenbach was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office ( renamed Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Neustadt an der Aisch until 1879, from 1880 district court Neustadt an der Aisch . The community originally had an area of 10.589 km².

Incorporations

On July 1, 1969, the previously independent community of Frankenfeld was incorporated. On July 1, 1971 Mönchsberg and Roßbach were added. Hambühl followed on January 1, 1972.

Population development

In the period from 1988 to 2018, the population increased from 972 to 1159 by 187 inhabitants or 19.2%.

Blazon : “In silver on a green shield base, a red draw well with round pillars and a tent roof; the fountain trough is covered with a small plate quartered in silver and black. "

Black and white municipal flag

Justification of the coat of arms: The fountain represents the market fountain from the year 1544. The little square plate is the coat of arms of the Zollern and reminds of the conferment of market rights by Friedrich von Brandenburg-Bayreuth. The colors red and silver are the colors of the Brandenburg eagle coat of arms and indicate the former sovereignty of the Margraves of Brandenburg.
