history

Hanbach (= "Hagenbach") was originally an extension of the Königshof Riedfeld and is documented in 1361 in a land register with ten taxpayers.

Towards the end of the 18th century, Stübach and Hanbach, which originally belonged to the Riedfeld-Neustadt parish, were cared for by the Franciscans in Riedfeld for some time after 1490 and parish in Stübach in 1578, formed a community. There were 8 properties in Hanbach. The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff Neustadt an der Aisch . The Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office in Neustadt an der Aisch was in charge of the village and community . The Principality of Bayreuth was the landlord of all properties (Kastenamt Neustadt: 2 Huben , 3 Halbhuben, 1 Häckersgut, 1 house; Klosteramt Birkenfeld : 1 Gut).

As part of the community edict, Hanbach was assigned to the Baudenbach tax district formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community of Stübach , which was founded in 1813 and then remained politically and ecclesiastically with the community of Stübach.
