history

The place was probably founded before 900, but was first mentioned in 1401 as "Tedendorff". At this time, the burgraviate of Nuremberg and the lords of Tedendorff, a sideline of the Seckendorffs , were fiefdoms. The claims to Brandenburg-Kulmbach came in the succession of the burgraves . Between 1502 and 1506 Konrad von Lüchau became the landlord of the place, but the Fraisch remained with the Brandenburg-Kulmachischen Amt Neustadt. The towns of Obersachsen and Eggensee also partly belonged to the manor . On August 31, 1707 this manor was bought by Margrave Christian Ernst . It then passed to the Lords of Danngriess and, in the first half of the 19th century, to the Counts Pückler-Limpurg zu Brunn .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 28 properties in Dettendorf (castle with brewery and farm, 25 properties, community pastor's house, little judicial house). The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff Neustadt an der Aisch . The manor Waldsachsen held the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties.

In 1810 Dettendorf came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, Dettendorf was assigned to the Diespeck tax district in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community of Dettendorf was formed, to which Aichen , Altenbuch , Burgstall , Chausseehaus , Eggensee , Göttelhöf , Obersachsen , Sengersberg , Untersachsen and Wulkersdorf belonged. With the second community edict (1818), the rural community was split into

  • Rural community Dettendorf with Upper Saxony;
  • Eggensee rural community with Chausseehaus, Lower Saxony and Wulkersdorf;
  • Rural community Göttelhöf with Aichen, Altenbuch, Burgstall and Sengersberg.

The rural community of Dettendorf was subordinate to the regional court Neustadt an der Aisch in administration and jurisdiction and in the financial administration to the Rentamt Neustadt an der Aisch (renamed in 1920 to Finanzamt Neustadt an der Aisch ). All properties were subject to voluntary jurisdiction and the local police until 1843 to the Patrimonial Court of Brunn . From 1862 Dettendorf was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office ( renamed Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Neustadt an der Aisch until 1879, from 1880 district court Neustadt an der Aisch . The municipality had an area of 4.986 km².

On July 1, 1971, Dettendorf was incorporated into Diespeck as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
