Sengersberg is a deserted area in the municipality of Gerhardshofen in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The former wasteland lay on a mountain nose to the south and north of two arms of the Altenbuchbach, which is a right tributary of the Aisch . In the north the Sengersberger Holz bordered, in the east the Uhr-Leithen. To the west was the Huthranger corridor.

history

Sengersberg is probably named after the von Senger family from Eschwege in Upper Hesse, who died out in 1727 and who received the property of the former castle and manor from the margrave. Towards the end of the 18th century there was a property in Sengersberg. The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff Neustadt an der Aisch . The property had the caste office Neustadt an der Aisch as landlord .

As part of the community edict, Sengersberg was assigned to the Diespeck tax district formed in 1811, and from 1813 it belonged to the rural community of Dettendorf . With the second community edict (1818) it was assigned to the newly formed rural community Göttelhöf . In 1904 the property was demolished.
