In the north, rising wood tip , about 1 km south rises the Steinberg ( 346 m above sea level. NHN ). A community road leads to Birnbaum to state road 2259 (1.1 km west) or to St 2259 (0.7 km south).
history
The place was first mentioned by name in the fief book of the Hochstift Würzburg , which must have originated between 1303 and 1317, as "Linten". At that time Ulrich von Eisch and Konrad Heider were feudal bearers, both of whom had a tithe there. In 1509 Heinrich von Aurach inherited farms and ponds in this place.
At the end of the 18th century there were 18 properties in Linden. The high court and the village and community rule exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste and jurisdiction office Dachsbach . The landlords were the Brandenburg-Bayreuth administration of Birnbaum (7 estates, 2 hackers' estates) and the Würzburgische Juliusspital - administration office of Burgbernheim (1 sheep farm, 1 yard, 2 estates, 5 drip houses ).
As part of the municipal edict , Linden was assigned to the Dachsbach tax district formed in 1811, and from 1813 it belonged to the tax district and the rural community of Birnbaum . With the second community edict (1818) it was assigned to the newly formed rural community of Kästel . On July 1, 1971, this was incorporated into Gerhardshofen as part of the regional reform .
