history

The place was first mentioned in 1348 as "Sigmanspuech", in 1506 as "Simerspuch". At this time the majority of the properties belonged to the Dompropstei Bamberg, the imperial city of Nuremberg was also wealthy there.

In the 17th century a family from Transylvania settled in Sintmansbuch. Towards the end of the 18th century there were 3 properties in Sintmannsbuch (2 Huben , 1 courtyard). The high court exercised the office of Büchenbach to a limited extent. If necessary it had to be delivered to the Centamt Herzogenaurach of the Hochstift Bamberg . The high court was partially challenged by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste and jurisdiction office Dachsbach . The office of Büchenbach held the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties.

As part of the community edict, Sintmannsbuch was assigned to the Weisendorf tax district formed in 1811 ; from 1813 it belonged to the tax district and the rural community of Birnbaum . With the second community edict (1818) it was assigned to the newly formed rural community of Kästel . On July 1, 1971, Sintmannsbuch was incorporated into Gerhardshofen as part of the regional reform .
