Eckenhof is a district of the Gerhardshofen community in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Aisch and a nameless stream that flows into the Aisch as a left tributary. A communal road leads to Gerhardshofen (0.7 km northeast) or Rappoldshofen (1.1 km southwest).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1345 as "Ekkenhofen". From 1506 a court belonged to the imperial city of Nuremberg .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 3 properties in Eckenhof. The high court and the village and community rule exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste and jurisdiction office Dachsbach . The landlords were the monastery office Birkenfeld (1 Widemgut ) and the state alms office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (2 half yards ).

As part of the community edict, Eckenhof was assigned to the Gutenstetten tax district formed in 1811, and from 1813 it belonged to the rural community of Pahres . With the second community edict (1818) it was re-ceded to Gerhardshofen.
