Marc Hahnemann

Marc Hahnemann (born March 28, 1991 ) is a German basketball coach .

career

Hahnemann, who grew up near Oldenburg , played basketball at TSG Westerstede and VfL Bad Zwischenahn. At the same time, he was already gaining experience as a youth coach for youth teams. After passing the Abitur, he moved to Saarland to study and worked in the youth and senior division of the SG Saarlouis / Dillingen. After successes with the high performance youth team, also in the supraregional area, he accepted an assistant coaching position at the women's Bundesliga club TV Saarlouis . At the end of 2017 he was promoted to head coach after the club separated from Hermann Paar . He was also assistant coach of the German women's senior national team and the men's team of SG Saarlouis / Dillingen (1st regional league).

During the summer break of 2018, Hahnemann moved to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA as an assistant coach for Gladiators Trier . Even under Paar's successor as women's national coach, Patrick Unger (from 2018), Hahnemann was part of the German women's national team in addition to his duties in Trier as an assistant coach. In September 2019 he passed the exams for the A trainer license. At the end of November 2019 he left Trier for personal reasons. He then worked in an advisory capacity for the women's Bundesliga club TV Saarlouis, and in January 2020 he took over the post of head coach in his second term.
