history

The village emerged around 800 as a Slavic clearing settlement. This is referred to by the place name, which can be traced back to the Old Slavic word "parězъ", which means forest fall. In 1232 the place was first mentioned in a document as "Paris". The place originally belonged to the Würzburg monastery . In 1303/17 Conrad and Hartung of "Paris" awarded this tithe. 1317/22 Gutend von Seckendorff owned half a tithe in the village, next to it two meadows together with a Mr. Hörauf and a fiefdom together with his brothers Arnold and Aberdar von Seckendorff. Until 1356 the lords of Hohenlohe were also wealthy in the village. In 1356 Gerlach von Hohenlohe entrusted Kunz von Seckendorff with the mill in Pahres. In addition, the monasteries Birkenfeld , Münchaurach and Münchsteinach and the imperial city of Nuremberg were wealthy in the place. In the Urbar of Burgraviate of Nuremberg of the year 1361/64 also burggräflicher ownership is stated that since 1427 Brandenburg-kulmbachisch was.

The Hofmann private brewery has been in use since 1663 . Born as the son of a brewery owner, Dachsbacher and Neustädter doctor, Nuremberg-Fürth court doctor and Erlangen and Munich university professor Moritz Hofmann (1843-1906) comes from Pahres.

At the end of the 18th century there were 25 properties in Pahres. The high court and the village and community rule exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste and jurisdiction office Dachsbach . The landlords were the Principality of Bayreuth (21 properties; Dachsbach caste and jurisdiction office: 1 brewery, 1 blacksmith's, 1 estate, 1 house; Neustadt an der Aisch caste office : 1 Häckersgut, 1 little house, synagogue; Münchsteinach monastery : 2 small drip houses , 1 house, 4 little houses; Monastery Office Münchaurach : 1 good, 2 semi-estates; Monastery Birkenfeld : 1 Widumsgut , 2 Gütlein), the State Almosenamt of the Imperial City of Nuremberg (1 half-yard, 2 estates) and the Nuremberg owner Haller von Hallerstein (1 yard).

In 1810 Pahres came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, Pahres was assigned to the Gutenstetten tax district in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community Pahres was formed, to which Eckenhof , Rappoldshofen , Reinhardshofen and Ziegenhof belonged. With the second community edict (1818), the rural community Pahres was split into

  • Eckenhof to the rural community Gerhardshofen ;
  • Rural community of Pahres with goat farm;
  • Rural community Reinhardshofen with Rappoldshofen.

The rural community of Pahres was subordinate to the regional court Neustadt an der Aisch in administration and jurisdiction and in the financial administration to the Rentamt Neustadt an der Aisch (renamed in 1920 to Finanzamt Neustadt an der Aisch ). From 1862 Pahres was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office ( renamed Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Neustadt an der Aisch until 1879, from 1880 district court Neustadt an der Aisch . The municipality had an area of 4.204 km².

After Judaism was assured the right to practice religion in the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1818, a synagogue was built in Pahres for 4313 guilders. In 1880, due to a lack of demand, this was relocated to Neustadt, where Jews had resettled since 1864, who initially belonged to the Jewish community of Diespeck .

On July 1, 1972, Pahres was incorporated into Gutenstetten as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
