Kleinsteinach is a district of the community of Gutenstetten in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Bavaria .
geography
The village lies on the Steinach , a left tributary of the Aisch . In the north the Mantelberg rises ( 332 m above sea level ) and in the southeast the Schneckenberg ( 334 m above sea level ). The Vogelherd forest area is around 500 meters to the east. The place is a little off the state road 2259 , which leads to Gutenstetten (2 km southeast) or Münchsteinach (1.5 km northwest). In terms of nature, Kleinsteinach is located on the south-eastern ascent to the Steigerwald .
history
In 1307 the place was first documented as "Witigensteynach" ("Wittgensteinach": probably not part of the personal name Wido , but from "Lüttgen-Steinach" from Middle High German lütt / lützel , "small") and thus synonymous with "Klein-Steinach" mentioned as a fiefdom of the parish "Tuetensteten" (= Gutenstetten).
Until the end of the 18th century, Kleinsteinach was part of Münchsteinach .
The Bavarian original cadastre shows Kleinsteinach in the 1810s as a street village with 18 courtyards.
As part of the community edict, Kleinsteinach was assigned to the Gutenstetten tax district formed in 1811, and from 1813 it belonged to the Gutenstetten rural community . As a special local community, however, Kleinsteinach was not granted a right to Gutenstetten community property as part of a legal dispute in 1894.
