Eggenhof (colloquially: Egŋhūf ) is a district of the municipality of Uttenreuth in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

location

The Schwabach flows directly to the north of the estate . Farmland and green areas border immediately to the east and south. In the east the corridor is called Rannenwiesen , in the south Posthalterholz . Immediately to the south-west lies a new development area of ​​Uttenreuth, which can be reached via the Rannenweg. On the other side of the Schwabach is the core town of Uttenreuth. A little further south is the Buckenhofer Forest .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1341 as "Egenhof". The determining word is Egen , which can be both a personal name and a family name. The Bamberg cathedral provost office in Büchenbach was the landlord of the property. The place was perhaps originally in the Fraisch district of the Bamberg center office Neunkirchen , since 1588 it has definitely been in the Fraisch district of the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Oberamt Baiersdorf . The court had rights to the Sebalder Reichswald since the 15th century . Tenth portions went to the Neunkirchen am Brand monastery (1499, 1603, 1647 attested). 1766 were part of the court 29 morning fields 14 7 / 8 morning wood, 3 1 / 4 fields and a farm.

As part of the municipality edict of the Kingdom of Bavaria (early 19th century). Eggenhof was the tax district and the Rural Municipality Uttenreuth assigned.

After the Second World War , the property was used as an institution . Today it is a sociotherapeutic dormitory for the district clinics in Middle Franconia .
