history

The place was first mentioned in 1321 as "Habernhof". The term haber ( mhd. Oats ) can refer to the cultivation and / or processing of oats. If it was used as a family name, which was quite common at the time, it was used to indicate the owner of the farm. The original feudal lords of the property were the von Gründlach lords , who succeeded them in inheriting it to the von Brauneck lords . 1321 appropriated Gottfried III. von Brauneck gave the monastery Neunkirchen am Brand a fish water that he had previously sold to the monastery as a fief . In 1341 Gottfried III sold von Brauneck, Marloffstein Castle, including all affiliations and claims, including the "Müle Habernhof", to the Bamberg Monastery . In the same year, the Bamberg cathedral chapter was sold the annual income from this complex. These manorial claims were administered by the Büchenbach cathedral provost until the end of the Old Kingdom . The court had rights to the Sebalder Reichswald (1429, 1611 attested). The mill served as a grain mill , next to it - at least temporarily - it was developed as a sawmill (1458, 1812 attested). In 1487, the Cadolzburg bailiff Albrecht Stiebar received the 8- day long corridor "To three horses" at the Habernhof as a fief . This fiefdom was still in the hands of the Stiebar von Buttenheim in 1683.

At the end of the 18th century, Habernhofermühle consisted of an estate. The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center office in Neunkirchen . The landlord was the Bamberg cathedral provost office in Büchenbach .

As part of the community edict (early 19th century), Habernhofermühle was assigned to the Kalchreuth tax district and the Weiher rural community .
