Weißenberg (colloquially: Waesnbeʳch ) is a district of the municipality of Uttenreuth in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

location

The wasteland consists of a residential building, an outbuilding and a nursery. It is surrounded by over 20 allotment houses with allotment gardens. The forest area Grünholz borders in the northeast . In the west and south there are arable and green areas. A residential path leads 400 meters further west to the district road ERH 7 between Marloffstein (1 km north-west) and Uttenreuth (1 km south-east).

history

In 1601 the field name Weißenberg was first mentioned in a document. In addition to the fields, there was a vineyard and orchard at that time. Originally there was a guard house there, which the widow Margareta Schmidmeyer wanted to rebuild, but this probably never happened. In 1712 there was a little estate that Franz Maximilian Geigennetter sold to Georg Steinmann and added a small house with a stable and little town hall. The place was in the Fraisch district of the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Oberamt Baiersdorf . The landlord of this property was the Baiersdorf caste office .

As part of the community edict (early 19th century) Weißenberg was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Uttenreuth .

In the 19th century the fields lay fallow. In 1893, Weißenberg was acquired by Heinrich and Kunigunda Koch and used as a horticultural company.
