Board of Directors and Board of Directors

The administrative board consists of the district council president of the Central Franconia district as chairman and ten other voting members from the middle of the district council. The term of office of the members of the Board of Directors is based on the term of office of the district assembly. The board of directors monitors the management of the board of directors and makes decisions about significant, in particular strategic, changes in the facilities of the district clinics in Middle Franconia. In addition, the Board of Directors defines the framework and the key financial data.

The executive board consists of one person and is appointed by the administrative board for a maximum of five years; reappointment is permitted. The board of directors is responsible for managing the municipal company. He is the supervisor of all employees of the municipal company. Deputies of the board of directors are also appointed by the administrative board.

Helmut Nawratil held the position of the Management Board from 2012 to 2018, who initially stood for an economically positive development. Since 2017, there has been repeated, severe criticism of his business conduct. After massive public pressure, in which allegations were made that Nawratil cultivated an autocratic leadership style and did not always inform the board of directors correctly, the articles of association were initially changed in October 2017 so that the board of directors must be more involved in decisions, especially when executives are dismissed . In September 2018, Nawratil was released from his duties. A special audit by the Board of Directors and a counter-opinion ultimately lead to a settlement. In November 2018, the new district assembly in Middle Franconia elected Armin Kroder as its president as the successor to Richard Bartsch , who was no longer a candidate after the events.

In December 2018, the previous first deputy, Matthias Keilen, was appointed as the new board member with the task of developing a new management structure.
