The Evangelical Lutheran Deanery Feuchtwangen is one of the 19 deaneries of the Ansbach-Würzburg church district . Acting dean is Martin Reutter.
history
Most of the deanery district Feuchtwangen belonged to the margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach during the Reformation . In Wieseth, Ansbach was the sovereign, but the patronage was with Baron von Seckendorff- Pfaff. In 1538 it was withdrawn from him by the Bishop of Eichstätt . In 1558 he got it back. At that time, Wildenholz was owned by the Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst . The Reformation was introduced in the following years: 1524 Feuchtwangen , 1528 Dentlein , Dorfgütingen , Mosbach with Larrieden , Oberampfrach , Unterampfrach , 1530 the Sulz monastery with Dombühl , 1540 Breitenau , around 1545 Wildenholz , 1559 Wieseth. On October 26, 1556 the margravial deanery was established. On December 7, 1810 the transition to Bavaria took place .
