history

Haundorf was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . Originally, the Lords of Heßberg had a seat there. The manor later came to the Lords of Seinsheim , who sold it in 1597 to the Principality of Ansbach . In 1732 the place consisted of 31 properties with 32 teams. The village and community rule was held by the Vogtamt Ampfrach . They were the landlords

  • Vogtamt Ampfrach: 1 tavern, 1 yard, 1 yard with two crews, 2 properties with baking rights, 1 blacksmith's shop, 13 properties, 1 Sölden house with baking rights, 1 Sölden house with brickworks, 3 Sölden houses;
  • Box office Feuchtwangen : 3 houses;
  • Hospital of the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl : 2 courtyards, 1 half courtyard, 1 little farm.

There was also 1 chapel (Protestant, to the parish Unterampfrach), 1 desolate castle and 1 shepherd's house. Towards the end of the Old Kingdom there were only 15 properties in Feuchtwang and 4 in Dinkelsbühl. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

In 1806 Haundorf came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century) Haundorf was assigned to the tax district Unterampfrach . A little later, the rural community Haundorf was formed, to which the places Altersberg , Gumpenweiler , Holdermühle and Ransbach an der Holzecke belonged. It was subject to the Feuchtwangen Regional Court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . The municipality had an area of 7.289 km². In the course of the regional reform (January 1, 1972) this was incorporated into Schnelldorf.
