Leitsweiler is a part of the community Schnelldorf in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Herbstwiesengraben, which is a left tributary of the Brettach , flows through the village . Approx. Finsterholz is 1 km to the east. The state / state road 2247 leads to Michelbach adLücke (0.6 km southwest) or Wettringen (3 km northeast). A community road leads to Gailroth to the St 2222 (0.8 km south).

history

The place was in the Fraisch district of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Crailsheim . At the end of the 18th century there were seven households. The landlords were the lords of Schwarzenberg (4 households), the imperial city of Rothenburg (2 households) and the caste office Crailsheim (1 household). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Crailsheim .

With the community edict (early 19th century), Leitsweiler was assigned to the Wettringen tax district and the Gailroth rural community . In the course of the regional reform , Leitsweiler was incorporated into Schnelldorf on July 1, 1972.
