history

Wildenholz was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 31 properties (2 courtyards, 1 property with an inn, 1 mill, 3 properties with baking rights, 1 property with bathroom, 1 property with forge, 13 small farms, 9 small Sölden houses) and 1 church, 1 rectory, 1 school house , 1 shepherd's house. The county of Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst held the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties . In 1804 there were 63 households, all of which were subject to Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst .

With the community edict (early 18th century), the tax district and the rural community Wildenholz were formed, to which the places Bottenweiler , Großmühlen , Steinbach adHolzecke and Waldhausen belonged. It was subject to the Feuchtwangen Regional Court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . By 1840 at the latest, Bottenweiler split up with Mühlen and Waldhausen and formed its own rural community. In 1961, the community of Wildenholz had an area of 8.690 km². In the course of the regional reform (July 1, 1972), Wildenholz was incorporated into Schnelldorf.
