Christ Church in Kirchrimbach

The Christ Church is a neo-Gothic church in Kirchrimbach , a district of Burghaslach in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district .

History and location

The church is located on the western edge of the village of Kirchrimbach on the border with the neighboring village of Oberrimbach . In 1903 the church planned by the Nuremberg architect Theodor Eyrich was consecrated.

Furnishing

The design of the church is rather simple. The windows in the choir room were donated by the parishioner and former patron of the parish, Prince Carl zu Castell-Castell . The organ comes from the Nuremberg organ builder Johannes Strebel . It has 14 registers divided between two manuals and a pedal. The three bells were cast in the Schilling bell foundry in Heidelberg in 1950 and 1953 . They serve as replacements for the original bells that were confiscated during World War II .

Monument protection

The church is listed in the Bavarian Monument List under the number D-5-75-116-35 with the following description: “Neue Evang.-Luth. Parish church, Christ Church, neo-Gothic choir tower, sandstone block construction, nave with saddle roof and crest and square tower with octagonal bell and pyramid roof, based on plans by Theodor Eyrich, 1902–03, inscribed. 1903; with equipment.
