Wichmann from Meding

Wichmann von Meding (* 1939 in Hanover ) is a German pastor and Protestant theologian as well as non-fiction - author , editor and retired university professor .

Life

Wichmann von Meding studied in the post-war period in Munich, Heidelberg, Tübingen, Bonn and Göttingen and in 1985 in Kiel at the local university with a thesis on the subject of reformation - the German Reformation sermons of 1817 to Dr. theol. PhD. After further writing , he also completed his habilitation in Kiel with his work on the so-called Klug's hymn book by Martin Luther under the title Luther's hymnal. The sung theology of a Christian psalter.

Von Meding worked as a pastor in several parishes in northern Germany. In addition, he taught until his retirement as a private lecturer at the theological faculty in Kiel.

In addition to theological and philosophical topics, Wichmann von Meding published in particular on the history of the city of Lauenburg an der Elbe .
