Amédée Dutacq
Amédée Dutacq (born July 18, 1848 in Neuilly-sur-Seine , † January 7, 1929 in Fécamp ) was a French composer.
Duracq joined Vincent d'Indy in 1874 in the organ class of César Franck at the Conservatoire de Paris . He was also a student of François Bazin and Napoléon-Henri Reber and in 1876 won the First Second Grand Prix de Rome with the cantata Judith .
He composed two operas: Battez Philidor was premiered in 1882 at the Opéra-Comique . The comic opera Lysistrata had its world premiere in 1893 at the Grand Théâtre on Rue Boudreau. His setting of the poem Les Larmes by Albert Samain also found recognition .
