The road at the fish market is a city street in the city 's Old Town in Stralsund . It runs along the canals between the city and the man-made harbor island and connects Fährstraße and Seestraße with Langenstraße . The Neue Semlower Strasse , Badenstrasse and Neue Badenstrasse , Heilgeiststrasse and the street Am Langenwall go from the street Am Fischmarkt. The street belongs to the core area of ​​the UNESCO World Heritage with the title Historic Old Towns Stralsund and Wismar .

The street Am Fischmarkt got its name in 1938. From 1869, when the fish market was moved from the old market to the area at the harbor, the street was still called Hafenstraße , with the exception of the area between Badenstraße and Heilgeiststraße (Stralsund), which was named Kirr carried.

One of the buildings is a listed building (see also the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund ), namely the Kronlasta building called Am Fischmarkt 13 a .

The street was designated as a one-way street from late 1938 ; in the 2010s it was again in a street with oncoming traffic redirected.
