It is part of the Oberwiesenfeld . From 1909 the property at Oberwiesenfeld was used as an airfield and established itself in the course of the following years with numerous expansions as the first commercial airport in Munich for passengers and freight. It was not until 1939 that it was replaced by Munich-Riem Airport . In the 2000s, the Leonardo Royal and the Hotel Adagio were built on the site . From 2015, 366 apartments and retail spaces were built under the name Olympia Wohn Park , as well as the MO82, a 70 meter high residential and office tower with a hotel, boarding house and student residence. Another 100 meter high skyscraper is being planned. To the north is the Adolf Kolping Vocational School. In the west of the area, a 4.22-hectare park is being created, which at the same time creates a connection to the Lerchenauer See recreational area . The Olympic Village adjoins it in the south . The Christl-Marie-Schultes-Weg , a pedestrian and cycle path underpass under the north ring of the railway between Wilhelmine-Reichard-Strasse and the street Am Oberwiesenfeld, connects southern Lerchenau with the Oberwiesenfeld underground station. Parallel to the work on the DB Nordring, the green space on Schittgablerstrasse was created in 2017-2019 north of Wilhelmine-Reichard-Strasse . The BMW Group Classic Museum is located at Moosacher Strasse 66 . To the south of Moosacher Strasse are the Munich Caribes , and to the northwest of the district is the Eggarten settlement .
