The city street Am Querkanal on the Hafeninsel in the old town in Stralsund connects the Langenstraße and the street Am Langenkanal on the Langenbrücke with the Hafenstraße . It belongs to the outskirts of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Old Towns Stralsund and Wismar .

The road was created in connection with the embankment of the harbor islands in the 1860s.

Five of the buildings are under monument protection (see also the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund ), namely Am Querkanal 2 , Am Querkanal 3 , Am Querkanal 4 , Am Querkanal 5 , Am Querkanal 6 , as well as the bascule bridge Am Querkanal , the quay and the pavement. At the corner of Hafenstrasse there is also the listed building at Hafenstrasse 13 .
