The album Am Rande vom Wahnsinn by Pankow was released in April 1997 on the Grauzone label.

History of origin

With André Herzberg, who returned in 1996, and Kulle Dziuk, who came for Rainer Kirchmann in the same year , the songs were recorded between November 1996 and March 1997 in the line-up of Herzberg , Ehle , Dohanetz , Reznicek , Dziuk . Anne de Wolff on violin and Matthias Lauschus on trumpet and flugelhorn were present as guests .

In addition to original compositions, the album includes an adaptation of Bob Geldof's The Great Song of Indifference with a German text by Kulle Dziuk.

The songs on the album were performed live by Pankow at the concerts for the reunification in the Tränenpalast from the end of 1996 in Berlin until the end of 1998.
