Amal Murkus
Amal Murkus , Arabic أمل مرقس, DMG Amal Murqus (born July 11, 1968 in Kafr Yasif , northeast of Acre ), is a Palestinian singer from Israel .
Life
Murkus comes from a well-known Christian family. Her father, Nimr Murkus, is a member of the Communist Party , and her five sisters are also active in politics or in public. She studied at the Bet-Zwi Acting Academy and played on Israeli television, a. a. on Sesame Street .
Murkus sang with Joan Baez , Robert Wyatt , Mercedes Sosa , Glykeria and others. She also has a regular radio program on Schamss Radio .
