Amanda Coe

Amanda Coe (born 1965 in Yorkshire ) is a British writer and screenwriter .

Life

Amanda Coe studied English at the University of Oxford (MA). In 2008 her production of Filth: The Mary Whitehouse Story aired. In 2013 she received a British Academy Film Award for the television adaptation of John Brane's novel Room at the Top . She has written for various series on Channel 4 and BBC Four . In 2015 she wrote a biography of the Bloomsbury Group for the BBC . So far (as of 2017) she has published three novels.

Coe is teaching screenwriting at the National Film and Television School .

Coe is married with two children and lives in London.
