Amanzia Ammirata Guérillot , married Amanzia Inganni and Amanzia Antoniani (born December 2, 1828 in Milan , † December 1, 1905 ), was an Italian painter . She mainly painted romantic vedutas and still lifes . Much of her work has been mistakenly ascribed to her first husband, the painter Angelo Inganni .

Life

Amanzia Guérillot was born in Milan in 1828 to a family that originally came from France. She received her first drawing lessons from her father Nicola Guérillot. In 1845 the painter Angelo Inganni became her guardian and teacher, and she also frequently served as his model. In 1847 Guérillot made his debut with an exhibition at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera . There she showed the two veduta del palazzo di Giustizia di Milano and Veduta di localita nelle vicinanze di Brescia chiamata il Taglietto as well as the seascape Il battelo a vapore Lariano sul lago di Como . In the following years she also exhibited specimens, portraits, still lifes , and animal and flower pieces. Many of her works have been exhibited in Milan, including in the Galleria d'arte moderna. From 1853 to 1855 she designed 14 stations of the cross for the parish church of Ronco di Gussago . In 1856 (or 1859) she married Inganni, whose first wife had died three years earlier. After the wedding, the couple moved to the vicinity of Brescia . Guérillot worked with him frequently until Inganni's death in 1881. For example, together they painted wooden soldiers for door panels, wooden figurines for a tailor's workshop, bouquets of flowers on mirrors, boxes and screens . In 1887 Guérillot married the judicial officer Lodovico Antoniani, with whom she moved to Padova . Her further work is not known.
