Amaury Faye (* 1990 in Toulouse ) is a French jazz pianist (also keyboards ).

Faye worked with Dimitri Nirman ( Rue du Jazz , 2009) and, at the age of twenty, presented a first trio album ( Big Moe Trio , Greenworks 2010), with Louis Navarro (bass) and Pierre Ardré (drums), which is still based on early models such as Oscar Peterson , Hank Jones and Kenny Barron oriented. In the following years he worked with the formation Initiave H around the saxophonist David Haudrechy , on whose albums Deus Ex Machina (Neuklang 2013) and Dark Wave (Neuklang 2015) he was involved. With the ensemble he was one of the finalists at the Concours National des Festival Jazz de la Défense in Paris in 2013 . From 2014 he studied at the Berklee School of Music with Joanne Brackeen and Tia Fuller ; In 2015 Faye received the Berklee Jazz Performance Award for best jazz pianist. Faye is currently working with his trio, which includes Louis Novarro (bass) and Théo Lanau (drums). His role models include Brad Mehldau , Tigran Hamasyan and the band Kneebody .

In 2016 Faye and his trio received both the audience award at the Biberach Jazz Award and the award for the best interpretation at the Tremplin Festival in Avignon.
